A lonely obese boy everyone calls “Butter” is about to make history. He is going to eat himself to death—live on the Internet—and everyone is invited to watch. When he first makes the announcement online to his classmates, Butter expects pity, insults, and possibly sheer indifference. What he gets are morbid cheerleaders rallying around his deadly plan. Yet as their dark encouragement grows, it begins to feel a lot like popularity. And that feels good. But what happens when Butter reaches his suicide deadline? Can he live with the fallout if he doesn’t go through with his plans? With a deft hand, E.J. Lange allows readers to identify with both the bullies and the bullied in this all-consuming look at one teen’s battle with himself.
Ok, guys. We’re talking about a boy who plans to EAT himself and broadcast it for all to see. Who doesn’t want to find out how this one is going to end??? I admit. I have fairly high expectations going into this one. Here’s hoping it delivers! (And no, that’s not to say that I hope he eats himself!)

I am glad that my excitement increases your interest in the book! 😀 But seriously, doesn’t it sound insanely unique??? Not sure I want him to hurt himself, but at least this kid isn’t wanting to go out and hurt others, right? 😉
This sounds really really interesting. I am very curious to see reviews on it. Definitely a very different and unique storyline. Great pick! 🙂
My W.O.W.

This actually sounds like quite a sad book. How do you eat yourself anyway? 😀 I hope this meets your expectations!
I’m waiting on Undeadly by Michele Vail
I think I’d start at the feet and work my way up… 🙂
This looks like the strangest book ever – and that’s awesome. I would love to see the faces of the people who first read the synopsis for prospective publication. 😛

They must have thought: BEST SELLER!! …Or not. But still, it caught MY attention!
eeek I don’t know what to feel after reading that synopsis… a boy who eat himself? sounds good with the bullying aspect. Looking forward on reading this book!
Awesome pick!

What’s interesting is that “not knowing what to feel” is a feeling itself. You are “baffled”, “muddled”, “fuddled”, “bewildered” or “perplexed”. I am all of the above, too. Which is why I can’t wait to read it! ;D
Thanks for stopping by!
Intriguing! This one sounds like a must read!!
